Hanuma Vihari’s daring and dedication come to life in the third Test against Australia in the 2020-21 Border Gavaskar Trophy as he bats left-handed, On Wednesday, he fractured his left wrist against Madhya Pradesh in the Andhra Pradesh Ranji Trophy quarter-final.
Vihari returned to the crease after injuring his left kick while attempting to deflect bowler Avesh Khan’s bouncer. When he returned, he batted left-handed to protect his left arm, which would have faced the pitcher if he continued to play right-handed.
Saransh Jain dismissed him in the second innings of Andhra Pradesh’s innings, and the batter scored 15 runs with three and four assistance. Vihari’s brave batting included a reverse sweep for the boundary against Saransh’s bowling.
