“We need to be extra careful with Bumrah” – Rohit Sharma

               India skipper Rohit Sharma doesn’t want any chance with Jasprit Bumrah, as his pacemaker returns from a back injury that kept him out of the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup in Australia last year.

               Rohit Sharma said “Very unfortunate. The poor guy has been working really hard at the NCA. He felt stiffness in his back a couple of days ago and if Jasprit Bumrah is saying he is not feeling well, you have to pull him out. We need to be extra careful with Bumrah,”

               The Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) announced on Monday that Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka that kicks off on Tuesday. While India will play their first match of three ODIs against Sri Lanka in Guwahati on Tuesday, ODIs will happen In Guwahati, Kolkata and Trivandum this January 10, 12, and 15.

               While on the other hand, All India senior selector committee and also Jasprit Bumrah In India’s ODI squad, this coming three-match ODI series together with Sri Lanka.

               Bumrah has not played cricket since September last year due to a back problem. He is also called out of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup because of the back injury.

               While bumrah will not be available to play for the upcoming match from the national team, some  senior members of the Indian team, including captain Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer, have joined Guwahati’s team.
